Voices for Change: Ending Gun Violence Together

Part 1: 6:00-6:45 PM 

Join your fellow League members for a presentation on the Gun Violence Prevention study being conducted by LWVIL and headed by issues specialist and LWVPA member Jim McGrath. Jim will give an overview of the project and its implications for future action by LWVPA. 

 

Come join us for a discussion of this timely topic, visit with LWVPA friends, and meet new ones.  Light snacks and water will be available. Guests are welcome.

Part 2: 7:00-8:00 PM 

Following our All-Members Meeting,  we will attend the Civic Awareness Program on Gun Violence Prevention together. Our Event Directors, Terry Guzowski and Janet Sanoica, in partnership with the Schaumburg Library do a monthly program spotlighting relevant and current  political topics and inviting esteemed experts to speak.  This month, Jim Mc Grath will moderate a program with panel members on the social and economic circumstances that lead to gun violence.
