Tuesday, June 24, 2025
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Schaumburg Central Library, Rassmussen South
The League of Women Voters moderates a panel discussion on the importance of running for local office positions and why you should run. The panel consists of the former president of the District 211 school board, the former Palatine Village clerk, a Palatine Township Chair, and a Schaumburg Library Board Trustee. After the program, panelists are available for a meet and greet to help answer further questions about getting involved in the local office.
This program is open to the public and is part of a Civic Awareness Series, sponsored in cooperation with the Schaumburg Library, dedicated to the continued civic education and engagement of the public.
You can choose to attend this program in-person or watch online on Zoom. Please indicate your preference when registering. After registering, you will receive a link to the Zoom webinar at least three hours in advance of the program.
Want to switch your attendance preference from online to in-person (or vice versa)? No problem! Just call the Schaumburg Library at (847) 923-3347.
