Members of the History and Political Science departments from Harper College will discuss the Reconstruction Amendments. 

  • The 13th Amendment abolished slavery
  • The 14th Amendment defined U.S. citizenship (including birthright citizenship)
  • The 15th Amendment prohibited the right to vote based on race, color or previous condition of servitude.

Members of LWVPA will be on hand to provide students and faculty information about registering to vote and the 2026 primary election.
