NEW LWVPA PROGRAM:
Defend Democracy Drop-in

Tuesday December 10, 2024, 6-7 pm

Palatine Library - room 2

Defend Democracy Drop-in (DDD) was created and shared by LWV Glen Ellyn to provide members with a resource to engage in political action.

LWVPA is launching this program to provide a fun, interactive way to activate the grassroots power of our chapter. Our upcoming meet-up is a fantastic opportunity for League members and their friends to gather and take action on the issues they care about. The team leaders will provide a topic overview containing essential information about a particular bill or issue.  Then open up the meeting to meaningful conversations, and provide ways to take action right then and there.

Members may have the opportunity to contact their elected officials on the spot, or mail them postcards expressing their thoughts about the discussed topics or bills. Even if you decide not to take immediate action, this is still a great place to listen, learn, and expand your understanding of key issues

LWVPA first DDD meeting will be on Tuesday December 10 from 6-7 pm in room 2 at the Palatine Library.  The topic will be The Status and Future of the Equal Rights Amendment
